Carney & Earl's is an emerging burger brand based out of Coffs Harbour on the NSW north coast. The raw and uncontrived nature of their back alley restaurant, combined with a unique approach to burger production has seen a groundswell of hype and growth. With new sites popping up around the country, the Carney & Earl's experience will be populating many a dark laneway in the very near future.
The back alley, subversive demeanour of the Carney & Earl's brand is characterised by the 'carnival' theme applied to their first site with graffiti motifs, milk crate seating, and the car radio which operates as the sound system from which reggae tunes can be heard from down the laneway.
Development of the identity system for Carney & Earl's was orientated toward recreating this theme of carnival whilst maintaining the darker side of the initial direction, a nod to the underground approach the brand has adopted.
