Inlite

Inlite is a supplier of decorative lighting to the Australian architecture, engineering and construction industry. With exclusive distribution of several leading European lighting brands, Inlite has offices and showrooms throughout Australia and New Zealand and works in a range of sectors from high end residential to hospitality, commercial office fit out, retail, and public space lighting.

Identity

Founded in 1984, Inlite had retained it's original logo and brand assets throughout it's 30 year history. In order to stay current in the highly design conscious architecture & design industry, we pared back the graphic elements of the dated Inlite logo, retaining only the simple Inlite wordmark in it's original form. This approach retained the brand recognition from the original design, whilst applying a modernised direction.
Brand colours are deliberately formal with soft highlights, aligning with the business goals of a more technical product focus. A condensed typography reinforces this formal direction.

Website

Designed to function as both a client facing site and as the hub of internal operations for a mobile workforce and across 7 business locations, the Inlite website houses a product inventory of over 30 000 items, complete with a wide array of installation images, downloads, videos, project references, and detailed searchable attributes on each product.

With the vast number of products, projects and news items available across different categories, the site was structured to bring new and relevant content to the front and in client focus via homepage highlights and featured products sections, as well as a detailed product search filter drilling down into product specifications across over 30 attributes per product.

Product specification PDF's are generated dynamically on demand from the product database, making the production of product collateral fast, efficient, and up to date. With a wide selection of different product types in a myriad of shapes and sizes, product images scale vertically and horizontally to suit the orientation of each product.

Clients are able to create a user profile within the site which enables them to create and name their own projects and share with clients via a unique URL.

Content Management System (CMS)

With it's 30 000 strong product inventory and individual product specifications changing several times per year, Inlite required a highly efficient means of adding new and updating existing products. From here a custom CMS was born which allows Inlite to work with it's product inventory in spreadsheet form and upload thousands of product SKU's at a time. Fail safe measures are integrated into the logic of the CMS to ensure data integrity, a system which has seen a task reduced from many weeks of work to a matter of hours.

Client Relationship Management (CRM)

With an organisation working across 7 sites throughout Australia and New Zealand and many staff not office bound, Inlite required an integrated cloud based CRM solution to act as a driver of project sales as well as a project management tool.

A bespoke CRM solution was designed and delivered to perform tasks specific to Inlite's needs, quickly and accurately. Only necessary information, with no superfluous data input means that users are encouraged to mantain data as they go, due to the ease of use and real and tangible information relevant to the sales cycle of the business.

Apps for Business - Project Documentation

Challenged by cumbersome financial software not optimised for quotations or a customised product range, Inlite required an agile solution in order to deliver fast and accurate service to it's client base. A custom project documentation application was designed and implemented for desktop and devices, drawing on the mass of detailed product data available in the Inlite website product inventory. Linking the product inventory, the CRM, and the new project documentation app meant an integrated system tieing multiple business elements together and eliminating duplication of tasks.

The project documentation app was customised to the Inlite's specific workflow and tailored to allow fast production of quotations from a complex array of products and associated components and accessories. Quotation times were subsequently reduced from 45 minutes to under 10 minutes, delivering real and tangible impacts on service and profitability.

Quotations, invoices, and order confirmations are all exportable to PDF in a range of selectable print ready formats.

Quotations may be exported as branded and formatted presentations, displaying all pricing and technical product information as well as installation images, product pictures, and links to product downloads. Documents are dynamically generated on the fly for a detailed and comprehensive level of presentation.
